Hi Jeannet,

Thanks for commenting.

First - ืžืื—ืจ is the verb, (to be late), while ืžืื•ื—ืจ just means "late" (as in "The package arrived too late" - ื”ื—ื‘ื™ืœื” ื”ื’ื™ืขื” ืžืื•ื—ืจ ืžื“ื™)

To develop a new hobby - ืœืคืชื— ืชื—ื‘ื™ื‘ ื—ื“ืฉ - yes - this phrasing sounds better in Hebrew.

โ€˜lehipageshโ€™ and โ€˜lifgoshโ€™ - There is a slight different 'lifgosh' can be an unplanned encounter, while 'lehipagesh' is more fitting for a planned meeting or so...

Thanks for the editing suggestion - I'll look into it :)

Yours,

Roi

Is there a difference in meaning between 'lehipagesh' and 'lifgosh'?

A bit confused. What is the difference between 'ani me'acher' (piel) and 'ani me'uchar' (pual)?

Hi Jeannet Benschop,

Thanks for commenting!

In this context, Bo "ื‘ื•" means - in him. similarly, 'In me' will be "ื‘ื™" and 'In her' is "ื‘ื”".'ื'

"ื‘ื•ื" with an 'ื' in the end, means "come (here)".

Happy to help,

Roi

Trying to figure the meaning of 'bo' in this sentence on the first line: ani bokher makom le'hipagesh bo im khaver sheli. Can you explain?

Thank you!

Jeannet

Oh, you mean that I left the aleph out of the verb. Thanks again for your help.

Mostly I understand. What does " 'ื" mean where you used it in your response?

Hi Shelley,

Good work!

Please allow me to correct the sentence:

Notice a few important corrections -

ื ืฉืืจืชื™ with ื'

we don't really use "sale" in the same way it's used in English, I edited to "ืžื›ื™ืจื”" but to be honest it's also not perfect... since ื ืฉืืจืชื™ (I stayed) refers to a real location I would just say ื ืฉืืจืชื™ ื‘ื—ื ื•ืช (I stayed in the store) or similar...

ืœืคืขื™ืœื•ืช ื”ื”ืชื ื“ื‘ื•ืชื™ืช with another ื” before the ื”ืชื ื“ื‘ื•ืชื™ืช.

Keep up the good work!

I stayed too long at a sale where I found really good bargains. I don't want to be late for my volunteer activities.
