Hi Shelley Lynn,

If you don't use "ha" after Kol, it will mean "every" and the word after it will be singular and not plurl. for example:

כל ילד קיבל סוכריה - every child got a lollipop

אני נוסעת לישראל כל שנה - I go to Israel every year

When you add "ha" after Kol, it becomes "all":

כל הילדים קיבלו סוכריות - all the children got lollipops

אני נמצאת בישראל כל השנה - I am in Israel all year (long)

I hope this is helpful!

Sincerely,

Yaara

Thank you, Yaara, I left off the pronoun part of the verb. Must you use "ha", the, following the word " kall"?

Shalom Tziporah Waternov,

Thank you for posting,

Wonderful having you here!

For 1/4 year you could say: reva shanah. Grammatically it"s correct although I must admit that people don't really say that, I think it is better to say: shlosha khodashim ( 3 months ) it sounds much more natural.

Happy Hebrew learning,

Lenny
