Hi Avi,

Thanks for your post.

Is there anything unclear in the lesson that I can help out with?

How interesting that over ten you can use the singular! I always thought that was colloquial usage and not really correct. No problem with the second comment, you saw it even though I forgot to check the box. Thanks, Yaara.

Hi Shelley Lynn,

Thank you for posting.

I didn't understand your second comment - did you already get a response for your questions in another lesson?

Anyway, about the numbers: When counting nouns in Hebrew, if you have more than 10 items, you can refer to the items as singular or plural - It's your choice. 10 items or less will always be plural. For example:

שבעים אנשים / שבעים איש

חמישים שקלים / חמישים שקל

But:

תשעה בקבוקים

חמש ילדות

I hope this answer was helpful!

Sincerely,

Yaara

Hello friends, the recorder in the expansion is for shalosh instead of shalosha. The speaker continually says new shekalim, but the word new is not in any of the lesson materials.

I just wanted to doublecheck the sentence that goes something like this" I have already lived 100 years. The word for year is not plural and I think I remember that it doesn't have to be? Is it incorrect to make it plural?
