John: Two Must-Know Pairs of Opposite Slang Expressions
John: Hi everyone, and welcome back to HebrewPod101.com. I'm John.

John: This is Must-Know Hebrew Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 10. In this lesson, you'll learn two must-know pairs of opposite slang expressions.
John: Here are two pairs of slang expressions that will help you say something, as well as its opposite.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
John: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Katja: להיות בתמונה (lihiyot ba'tmuna)
Katja: להיות מחוץ לתמונה (lihiyot mi'khuts la'tmuna)
Katja: לא להיות לעניין (lo lihiyot la'inyan)
Katja: להיות לעניין (lihiyot la'inyan)
John: Katja, what's our first expression?
Katja: להיות בתמונה (lihiyot ba'tmuna)
John: literally meaning "to be in the picture." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to be involved or to be updated."

John: Use this slang expression when you want to express the idea of being involved in something or being a part of something.

John: literally meaning "to be out of the picture." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to not be involved."
