Hey, guys! Welcome back to Hebrew Weekly Words. My name is Yaara and this week’s theme is “At the Office”

I am currently not in an office. I am in a beautiful sunny garden and I’m feeling very grateful for that. But right, let’s get to business.
1.
בוס
(boss) meaning “boss”
Yeah that’s an easy one right?
For a female, it will be
בוסית
(bossit)
הבוסית שלי קשוחה מאוד.
(ha'bossit sheli kshukha meod.) “My boss is really tough.”
2.
חבר לעבודה
(khaver la'avodah) “co-worker”
חבר לעבודה
(khaver la'avodah) literally means “a work friend” but yeah it means a “colleague”.
חבר לעבודה
(khaver la'avodah)
זה אלון, הוא חבר לעבודה.
(ze Alon, hu khaver la'avodah.)
“This is Alon, he is a co-worker.” or “He’s a colleague of mine”

מסמך
(mismakh) “document”

(mismakh)
אני צריכה לצלם את המסמך הזה.
(ani tsrikha letsalem et ha'mismakh haze.)
“I need to copy this document.”

פגישה
(pgisha) “meeting”
“I can’t talk right now. I’m in a meeting.”
אני לא יכולה לדבר עכשיו, אני בפגישה.
(ani lo yekhola ledaber akhshav, ani be'pgisha.)

שולחן עבודה
(shulkhan avodah) “desk”
שולחן עבודה
(shulkhan avodah) literally means “working table”

This is how we call a desktop on your computer

המחשב שלי נמצא על שולחן העבודה.
(ha'makhshev sheli nimtsa al shulkhan ha'avodah.)
“My computer is on the desk.”
