Did you get it right?

Thank you Idit, definitely want to be more polite so will try to use future more often. I understand- You are right- "hiti rotza" doesn't work there because that is in the past tense and the action is in the present. Thanks again.

Hi Shelly,

No, you do not have to use the word "inside" for the filling. If you want to say "I would like" in Hebrew you can just use the verb in present tense "rotza" or, more politely in the future tense "ertze". "hayiti rotsa" is not used in this situation. :)

Glad to help!

Shalom Roi, 1. lol 2. thank you for making that clear.3 oops I somehow tried the present and changed mind to past and did it incorrectly. ok-remove "of" and extra yud in "listening". 4. meant to do "hiti rotsa" so I don't need to include the word "inside" if I use filling? Thank you for your help.

Hi Shelley,

Good work!

let's review -

1. small typo - "ื”ื“ืฃ ื”ืจืืฉื•ืŸ" (you wrote 2 ื”)... :)

2. fixing - ืื—ืจืช, ืืจื’ื™ืฉ ืจืข. note, ืœื—ืœื•ืคื™ืŸ is used usually when there are 2 options we can choose between. "ืื—ืจืช" is parallel to "otherwise" in this context.

3. ื™ื›ื•ืœืชื™ ืœื”ื‘ื™ืŸ ืืช ืจื•ื‘ ื”ืฉื™ื—ื” ืจืง ืขืœ ื™ื“ื™ ื”ืงืฉื‘ื” - important note - ืื ื™ ื”ื™ื” ื™ื›ื•ืœื” is not Hebrew. we can't say "ืื ื™ ื”ื™ื”" but rather ืื ื™ ื”ื™ื™ืชื™, and in this case, as we have a past verb (could) there's no need for "was" at all, as well as the "ืื ื™".

4. fixing - ืื ื™ ืจื•ืฆื” ืขื•ื’ืช ืฉื•ืงื•ืœื“ ืžืจื•ื‘ืขืช ืขื ืจื™ื‘ืช ืชื•ืช ื•ืžื™ืœื•ื™ ืฉืžื ืช ื‘ื‘ืงืฉื”

Let me know if it's understood :)

There is a personal dedication to me on the first page. ื™ืฉ ืœื™ ื”ืงื“ืฉื” ืื™ืฉื™ืช ืขืœ ื”ื”ื“ืฃ ื”ืจืืฉื•ืŸ

Otherwise, I would feel bad . ืœื—ืœื•ืคื™ืŸ, ืื”ื™ื” ืžืจื’ื™ืฉื” ืจืข

I was able to understand alot of this conversation just by listening. ืื ื™ ื”ื™ื” ื™ื›ื•ืœื” ืœื”ื‘ื™ืŸ ืืช ืจื•ื‘ ืฉืœ ื”ืฉื™ื—ื” ืจืง ืขืœ ื™ื“ื™ ื”ืงืฉื™ื‘ื”

I would like a square chocolate cake with strawberry jam and cream filling inside, please. ื™ื”ื™ื” ืจื•ืฆื” ืขื•ื’ืช ืฉื•ืงื•ืœื“ ืžืจื‘ื•ืขืช ืขื ืจื™ื‘ืช ื˜ื•ื˜ ื•ืžื™ืœื•ื™ ืฉืžื ืช ื‘ืคื ื™ืืช ื‘ื‘ืงืฉื”

Hi Jeannet ,

Thanks for commenting and for highlighting this.

the word ืœื—ืœื•ืคื™ืŸ is pronounced "Lekhalufin" which is an acceptable pronunciation of this word. ("Lekhilufin" is used too by many Hebrew speakers, but it's actually less accurate)

12th sentence of dialogue gives 'ืœื—ืœื•ืคื™ืŸ' / lekhilufin, but the audio gives: 'lekhalofin'. Which one is the better one? Thanks!
