Hi kris,

Thanks for posting on this issue.

Actually, there seems to a mistake in the audio. The correct pronunciation - as you wrote correctly - is "ofanayim"- spelled in Hebrew אוֹפַנַּיִם.

I will forward this for fixing. 👍

Roi

Shalom,

Re: bicycle. The speaker says ofnayim. I always heard ofanayim before. Can both be used?

Hi Shelley,

Yes, absolutely! For example, let's say that you want to say that chocolate and vanilla are your husband's and your favorite ice cream flavors; You'll say:

.וניל ושוקולד הם הטעמים האהובים עלינו

Thanks for the corrections

Yaara

ahh so you are saying that "cli" is masculine and takes the masculine form of "ahuv alai" and also the" hoo" follows suit. Thanks for your explanation.

Just an English point-"Most of the mistakes" has should be most of the mistakes have. The verb agrees with Most. also" to" should be "too" as in too abstract. I must be wearing you out! Don't worry either as I make lots of English mistakes too and it is still understandable. Thank you for your kind thoughts and the additional cojnugations. So the two can be conjugated together? in "our favorite "both would be conjugated?

Hi Shelley,

I should have said it in my previous comment - your sentence was very good despite your mistakes, that are minor and understandable. Most of the mistakes has to do with idiomatic expressions, so please don't beat yourself up.

You were right about "transportation", it is feminine; The reason I changed אהובה עליי to אהוב עליי is that I changed תחבורה ("transportation") into כלי תחבורה ("vehicle"; literally: "transportation instrument"). I did it because תחבורה alone is a bit to abstract.

Regarding ”ahuv alai” - yes, it can get conjugated to one of the following:

אהוב עליי

אהובה עליי

אהובים עליי

אהובות עליי

Besides that, the word עליי is also conjugated to agree with the gender, number and person speaking:

עליה

עלינו

עליהם

etc.

Keep up the good work!

Yaara

oh boy! A lot of errors. I understand most of the changes. The last sentence I tried to do in the feminine form-Is transportation masculine? It ends with a"hey". Does my favorite,"ahuve alai," get conjugated?

Hi Shelley,

Thank you for posting!

כשהייתי צעירה, אהבתי להגיע למקומות ברכיבה על סוסים, אבל מכיוון שלא היה לי סוס, רכבתי על אופניים. עכשיו כלי התחבורה האהוב עליי הוא מכונית

Nice job!

Yaara

When I was young I loved to go places by horse, but since I didn't have a horse, I rode on bicycles. Now my favorite transportation is a car.כשהיתי צעירה, אהבתי ללכת מקומות על ידי סוסים, אבל מאז לא היה לי סוס, רכבתי על אופנים. עכשו התחבורה האהובה עליי היא מכונית
