| Here is how you write כ (kaf): |
| Begin with a horizontal line, then draw a vertical line from its right side. Draw another horizontal line at the bottom starting from the left, and connect it to the vertical line at the bottom. |

| For the final form, called sofit, draw a horizontal line. Draw a long vertical line down from the right side of the horizontal line. |
| With dagesh: |

| The letter kaf has two different sounds. Without a dot, called dagesh, kaf makes the sound ‘kh.’ If you add the dagesh, the sound of kaf becomes 'k’ instead, but we don't count it as a separate letter in the alphabet. Remember, like all niqqud, these dots are usually not written. |
