Most people have a favourite colour - what's yours, listeners?  And as a bonus question, is there a colour you just can't stand? Tell us in Hebrew!

Hi Shelley,

ื ืฉื™ื ื‘ืขืœื•ืช ืฉื™ืขืจ ืืคื•ืจ is the more natural sounding option :)

How interesting! Thank you, Roi. Since Hebrew and English start from different sides, by the first option, you meant the plural version of gray hair as being more natural?

Hi Shelley,

Actually, both options are valid - ื ืฉื™ื ื‘ืขืœื•ืช ืฉื™ืขืจ ืืคื•ืจ AND ื ืฉื™ื ื‘ืขืœื•ืช ืฉื™ืขืจื•ืช ืืคื•ืจื•ืช, though the first option is more natural.

Roi

I think that I understand most of the comments. If I wrote gray haired women then gray and hair would be plural?

Hi Shelley,

Thanks for commenting,

The word "being added" - ืžืชื•ื•ืกืฃ - describes an ongoing process, and comes from the word "to add" - ืœื”ื•ืกื™ืฃ.

Yes, maybe it's a little redundant, you could also phrase it as ืžื—ื™ื™ื›ื•ืช ืœืขืชื™ื ืงืจื•ื‘ื•ืช (smile often) or similar.

"Gray hair" is a masculine noun, and was presented this way in my translation... The plurality was only for the old women themselves.

Roi

Thank you for your corrections. In the first sentence I understand that the " the" is not needed for "the color brown because it is not specific. Would you please tell me why the verb "added" is in a different form?

Glad 2 is correct.

3. Would you please translate the verb smiles with smiles following into english for me. Somehow feels redundant.

I think using your smiling verb that I need to add the verb "wear" in front of gold Jewelry, but you didn't do that?

I also see that I don't need to make gray hair plural. Why? Thanks for your hebrew teaching.

Hi Shelley,

The color purple is a mixture of red and blue, but if the color yellow is added to it then you get the color brown.
