Hi everyone! שָׁלוֹם (shalom) |
my name is Yaara, and this is Hebrew weekly words. So I actually don’t know what this week’s theme is. So let’s find out together. This week’s theme is Hobbies. |
(taħbivim) |
What are your hobbies? |
(le’saħek shaħmat) |
“To play chess”. |
“When I was in Elementary school, we actually had a chess lesson.” |
(kshe-ani hayiti be-beit ha-sefer ha-yesodi, haya li shi-ur shaħmat.) |
yeah. That didn’t go very well for me - I never won. |
(le’esof bulim) |
“To collect stamps”. |
“My father had a stamp collection.” |
(aba sheli asaf bulim.) |
Then he gave me the collection and I obviously lost it. |
(liglosh ba-internet) |
“To surf the net”. |
Is that a hobby? It’s more like a way of life, I would say. |
“You surf the net too much!” |
(ata golesh ba-internet yoter midai!) |
(le’saħek poker) |
“To play poker”. |
Okay, the next hobbie is “to play poker”, and this is a common hobby in Israel. |
“I went over to a friend of mine to play poker.” |
(halakhti le-ħaver sheli le’saħek poker.) |
I actually never played poker. I don’t even know how to do that. |
(tzilum) |
“Photography”. |
“I always wanted to take a photography class.” |
(Tamid ratziti la’lekhet le-ħug tzilum.) |
I never did that though, I’m kinda lazy. |
And this is the end. So thank you so much for watching Hebrew weekly words. Don’t forget to check our site, and I will see you next week. Bye, להתראות (le’hitra’ot)! |
I feel I lost my personality. |
