Hi Jeannet Benschop,

Thanks for commenting, I'll try to help:

The word ืœึฐื”ึทื‘ึฐื”ึดื™ืœ = to startle - for example when someone is sneaking from behind and shouts: "BOO!". ๐Ÿ˜„

The word ืœึฐื”ึทืคึฐื—ึดื™ื“ = to scare, in various contexts.

The word ืœึฐื”ึทื—ึฐืจึดื™ื“ is used seldom and is even stronger than "ืœึฐื”ึทืคึฐื—ึดื™ื“".

The passives would be:

lehibahel - ืœื”ื™ื‘ื”ืœ,

Lefached ืœืคื—ื“

to feel anxiety - ืœื—ื•ืฉ ื—ืจื“ื” (no regular passivehere )

Yours,

Roi

PS I forgot the verb ืœึฐืคึทื—ึตื“ - lefached (to add to the (=my) confusion!)

Shalom!

1 I am trying to figure the difference in every day conversation between ืœึฐื”ึทื‘ึฐื”ึดื™ืœ - lehavhil, ืœึฐื”ึทื—ึฐืจึดื™ื“ - lehachrid, and ืœึฐื”ึทืคึฐื—ึดื™ื“ - lehafchid.

2 Also, can you use the passive of these verbs interchangeably with the verb ืœืคื—ื•ื“ - lifchod?
