Good question!

Yes, you got it right - since this is a general sentence it should be in the present, otherwise it will refer to the upcoming winter (which is perfectly fine, but a little different from your English sentence as I understand it).

Hopefully the winter will not be so gloomy... :smile:

Yes. I got a bit poetic in response to the question asked. I understand most of the errors. Since this is a general sentence you wrote it in the present-"The winter brings"? lol- I am always writing in the present to discover that the action hasn't happened yet and needs to be in the future. Since Winter hasn't happened yet I put my Hebrew sentence in the future but kept my English sentence in the present because that is how we do it in English. But maybe because it is a general sentence, the present tense is acceptable?
