Cultural Insight
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Yaara: A popular expression in Israel is "Lama Lo", which in English means "Why not?" You can use it to accept a proposition if you agree but aren’t really keen to do it, or if it wasn't planned in advance.
For example, if a friend asks you suddenly "What about going to the cinema tonight?", you can answer "Lama lo?" - "Why not?"

Outro

Eric: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!
Yaara: להתראות

Thank you, Idit-I looked this up in morphix so it must be an expression and you conjugate the first word as a verb. Also forgot "the" on "kiets". Thanks for your help.

Hi Shelly,

Good example sentence! Just a small correction, instead of "כי היתי חלם בקיץ" it should be: "כי חלמתי בהקיץ".

I leave early in order to not miss the train. I missed the train anyway because I was daydreaming. אני עוזבת מוקדם כדי לא לפספס את הרכבת. יפספסתי את הרכבת בכל מקרה כי היתי חלם בקיץ
