Hi, everyone! Welcome to Hebrew Weekly Words. My name is Yaara and this week’s theme is Your Face.
1.
אוזן
(ozen) “ear”
יש לי חורים באוזניים.
(yesh li khorim ba'oznaim.) “My ears are pierced.”
My sentence literally means “I have holes in my ears”, but this is how we state “My ears are pierced.”
2.
פה
(pe) “mouth”
אל תספר לו כלום, יש לו פה גדול.
(al tesaper lo klum, yesh lo pe gadol.)
“Don't tell him anything; he has a big mouth.”
3.
שיער
(sear) “hair”
צבעתי את השיער.
(tsavati et ha'sear.) “I colored my hair. / I dyed my hair.”
4.
שפם
(safam) “moustache”
אני מנסה לגדל שפם.
(ani menasa legadel safam.)
“I'm trying to grow a moustache.”
